About the Province of Antwerp
As a dynamic regional government, the Province of Antwerp wants to ensure the area is attractive to live in, work in and visit. It engages as a partner to the 69 municipalities where people live, and to the associations and umbrella organisations that represent the interests of those residents. Since 2018, it has been based in a modern provincial building that forms part of the Antwerp skyline.
The best ITSM tool for the needs of the Province of Antwerp
Every four years, government organisations are required to renew a contract through a public tender. At that point, Xurrent was invited to present its solution. Karel Scheerlinck, IT Operations team lead at the Province of Antwerp, explains that four companies were invited to take part in the tender.
Xurrent was ultimately chosen based on the requirements in the specification. Karel: "It was simply the best tool based on the criteria we had drawn up. The criteria were price, quality of service delivery (which SLAs could be offered, how the tool works) and the step-by-step plan for the migration to Xurrent.
Results
Thanks to the switch to Xurrent, the IT organisation has seen a huge increase in efficiency and a rise in user satisfaction. End users are enthusiastic, because they feel the system works excellently for them. They can resolve issues faster and get back to their work sooner.
